Additional
Operations
Here
are a few highlights of the many additional
modules we have to support your company.
You may be a larger company and need some of
these modules now, or a smaller company on
the grow. Either way, you need to know the
software company you choose to partner with can
be there as you grow. This section will confirm
that we have the software it takes to support
your growth, both now and in the future.
Pegasus
TRANSFLOW Imaging:
Interfaced to the Pegasus TransTech Imaging
System, we provide the ability to do Rendition
Printing. This means that as your invoices are
printed, the backup documents previously scanned
in, according to each customer’s needs, are
printed with the invoice. Other interfaces
include COLD (Computer Output to Laser Disk)
printouts that get automatically indexed for
you, and a Driver Settlement interface that
automatically releases settlement for payment
after the required documents are scanned into
the system.
Creative
Fax:
Any document that can be printed can be faxed
directly from Freight-Link without the necessity
of printing the document and putting it through
the fax machine. Includes software, fax modem
and cable.
Customer
Access System:
This module will allow your customers to dial
into your system (with restricted access) to
trace their own shipments.
Electronic
Data Exchange (EDI):
Allows your computer to electronically
exchange data with other computers. Many EDI
transaction sets are available, including the
204 (Shipment Information), the 210 (Billing
Information), and the 214 (Shipment Status).
Transmissions can be sent/received from a third
party mailbox or directly from your customer.
Data
Exchange:
Data Exchange allows you to import data into
the Freight-Link System through a specified file
format. This module is commonly used by
Warehouse Distribution companies to import
warehouse movements of freight that the
transportation/logistics side needs to handle.
Additionally, it is one of three ways to extract
data from the Freight-Link System. (The other
two are the Creative Query Report Writer and the
Creative ODBC Interface.) In this case, the data
is exported in a specified file format that can
then be used to import into another system.
Creative
Query Report Writer:
CQ is a menu-driven system that will allow
you to create your own on-screen inquiries and
printed reports on an ad hoc basis. It also
provides the ability to transfer data files into
a spreadsheet or word processor.
Creative
ODBC (Open DataBase Connectivity):
This module allows you to directly read the
data you have built in the Freight-Link System
by other products such as Word, Excel and
Access.
Costing:
Costing provides the means for accurately
tracking all revenues and costs for each
individual power unit, trailer, driver and
trip. Totals are automatically updated from
different modules throughout Freight-Link. Or,
revenues, cost and miles can be entered by
hand if a module is not installed.
Container
Depot:
The Container
Depot module allows you to efficiently track
incoming and outgoing equipment. T.I.R.’s
are generated for you during the entry
process. M&R reporting to the Steamship
Lines and Billing for work done are included.
Storage rates can also be set up per customer
and billed.
LDS
Warehousing:
CSC is tightly
interfaced to the ACCUPLUS Warehousing System
owned by LDS. Orders in the ACCUPLUS system are
automatically fed into our Freight-Link system,
thereby eliminating double entry of orders for
warehousing companies with freight divisions.
Accounting information is also updated to our
Accounts Receivable and General Ledger, so one
accounting system can be used.
Salesmen
Analysis:
This module provides you with the ability to
track sales prospects by salesperson. It
includes the ability to print a salesperson’s
Daily Call List and track expenses vs. revenue
by prospect.
Leasing
System:
The Leasing
System enables you to lease trucks and trailers
by daily, weekly and mileage rates. A Lease
Agreement is printed after you enter the
information on the lease. Invoices are cut on
demand and updated to the accounting for you.
Furthermore, Yard Checks can be entered into the
system, along with the status of each piece of
equipment.
Pallet
Control:
This system can
be used stand-alone or as an integrated piece to
Dispatch. Pallet exchanges are entered coming
out of and going into your customers that track
pallets. A Reconciliation Report can be printed
or viewed on the screen for customers as you
receive their invoices. A Pallet Adjustment
option can also be used to adjust the pallet
balance after any negotiations are completed. A
Customer History is retained, together with a
history by Driver/Carrier and Trailer.
